Meals
Meal times are a focal part of the day where nourishing food is prepared and served in a relaxed atmosphere. Dietary needs and likes / dislikes are catered for and residents' suggestions are always welcome.

Home baking is a speciality. Homemade organic soup is made daily. Organic meat is regularly on the dinner menu.
A choice menu is available from the menu board in the dining room.

Breakfast time is a personal choice.
Dinner is served at 1.00 p.m.
Tea is served at 6.00 p.m.
Nourishing snacks are provided between meals and at bedtime.

Laundry
Padre Pio Rest Home provides a laundry service, but family members may take home residents' laundry if preferred.

Wanderer Control System
Padre Pio Rest Home is fitted with a Wanderer Control System for residents who may be a danger to themselves if they go outside unaccompanied. The doors lock automatically when a resident wearing a special bracelet approaches. In the event of the door being opened before they reach it, an alarm is sounded.
This system is ideally suited to people with dementia etc.


Religious Beliefs
Religious beliefs for all dominations are catered for. If residents wish to attend, Mass is provided in the Oratory on:
Sunday Mornings and on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Communion is available on the 1st Friday of each month.
Residents recite the Rosary each evening in the Oratory after 7.00 p.m.

Visiting Times
Padre Pio Rest Home operates an open house policy for visitors and they are encouraged to join in with every aspect of the daily life at the Home. Visitors may stay overnight if they wish, Refreshments for visitors are provided on a complimentary basis. Special arrangements are provided for family and friends of very ill residents.
